Covid-19 Resource Guide for Parents & Families

Please check into your Google Classroom! Online instruction starts Monday, March 30th. Your child’s teacher will be posting assignments and information in Google Classroom. Students and families will be expected to check-in with their teacher regularly.

To access google classroom from LaunchPad, click on the Google Apps folder and select Google Classroom. Note: If prompted to sign in, students will need to put their full email address. Example: [email protected]

K-12 students can access many of their instructional resources at home by logging into the district’s application portal (LaunchPad). LaunchPad gives your child access to:

  • Renaissance Accelerated Reader (AR)
  • Compass (learning paths)
  • i-Ready (reading & math lessons)
  • Focus (attendance & grades)
  • Destiny (media center materials)
  • OverDrive (e-books)
  • Safari Montage (educational videos)
  • Pearson SuccessNet (reading)
  • ThinkCentral (math)
  • myNGconnect (National Geographic)
  • Google Apps (Google Classroom, Docs, Slides) & much more!

Accessing Compass Individualized Learning Paths

Your child's STAR reading and math assessments generate individualized learning paths in Compass. These learning paths contain lessons aligned to the skills and standards your student is ready to learn. Thank you for encouraging your child to work on Compass at home to enrich their learning and help raise achievement levels.

  • Look for the Compass Learning icon in the instructional apps folder.

Working on the Learning Paths

  • K-12 students will find their learning paths in the reading and math folders on the Compass dashboard.

Accessing Digital Library Books

OverDrive is a digital library provided by the Lee County School District. Students can check out library books and read them online. Look for the OverDrive icon in the instructional apps folder.
